Using Interval Workout Music for Killer Athletic Conditioning

“Not the sled again!!”

t1_darius

This phrase is probably familiar to most throughout athletic training facilities around the world. I know it was in mine until I got the best interval workout music available today, Workout Muse. That phrase has now been replaced by excitement whenever my athletes know that I am about to blast Workout Muse over the stereo. Well, excitement and groans because they know that they are about to get the interval conditioning workout of their lives.

There is no more boring, monotonous pushing the sled down and back.  Instead, that has been replaced with conditioning workouts that are challenging and focused on training specific movements that are necessary to become dominating athletes.  With hardcore interval training music going in the background I am free to coach technique, instead of looking at a timer and the athlete is able to get a more applicable, intense workout.

This conditioning workout consists of 5 exercises.

1-Medicine Ball Side Throws
2-1 Arm Kettlebell swings
3-Medicine Ball overhead throws
4-1 arm Kettlebell high pulls
5-Medicine Ball shot put throws

For this workout we chose to focus on rotational core strength and hip extension, as it is directly relates to this athlete’s sport (baseball). These are movements that need to be trained in nearly all athletes’ programs and could be used for all sports.

This workout was conducted using the 50-10 workout music from Workout Muse’s Bootcamp Dynamite product.

So I say why should bootcampers get to have all the fun and be the only ones that enjoy interval workout music from Workout Muse? Use it to help get your athletes in their best condition ever!
