Over time I have compiled some really unique uses for the Ultimate Tabatas interval workout music soundtracks powered by Workout Muse for an endless variety of training options.
See below for a brief excerpt from my 99-page Ultimate Tabatas Boot Camp Manual (just one of the many killer resources that comes with Ultimate Tabatas) for how I best leverage my Tabata interval training music for both my boot camp classes and my own personal workouts.
Note that all of these options are only made possible by the interval training music we offer as it’s impossible to look at the watch and workout in this format at the same time:
III. Tabata Interval Change-ups
a.) Extended Tabatas: Listening to the Ultimate Tabatas audio instructions powered by Workout Muse, immediately following the 20 s work period bypass the 10 s rest period by performing a similar exercise or another exercise altogether. Below are some great examples of 4-minute finishers using this Extended Tabatas format:
Sexy Leg Finishers
1.) 20 s squat variation-10 s squat hold variation
2.) 20 s split squat variation (L)-10 s split squat hold variation (L)-20 s split squat variation (R)-10 s split squat hold variation (R)
3.) 20 s split squat variation (L)-10 s squat variation-20 s split squat variation (R)-10 s squat variation
Better Booty Finishers
1.) 20 s double-leg hip extension variation-10 s double-leg hip extension hold variation
2.) 20 s single-leg hip extension variation (L)-10 s single-leg hip extension hold variation (L)-20 s single-leg hip extension variation (R)-10 s single-leg hip extension hold variation (R)
3.) 20 s single-leg hip extension variation (L)-10 s double-leg hip extension variation-20 s single-leg hip variation (R)-10 s double-leg hip extension variation
Flat Abs Finishers
1.) 20 s front pillar variation-10 s side pillar variation (L)- 20 s front pillar variation-10 s side pillar variation (R)

3.) 20 s squat to press variation-10 s sumo deadlift variation- 20 s curl to squat variation-10 s bent-over row variation
b.) Alternating 10’s: Listening to the Ultimate Tabatas audio instructions powered by Workout Muse, at the 10 s mark (halfway) during each 20 s work set perform a different variation of the same exercise or another exercise altogether.

Example#2-
10 s Push-ups/10 s Mountain Climbers
c.) Alternating 5’s: Listening to the Ultimate Tabatas audio instructions powered by Workout Muse, perform a different variation of the same exercise or another exercise altogether every 5 seconds during each 20 s work set.

Perform any 4-minute tabatas sequence and then IMMEDIATELY perform one of the following exercises for max reps or a max hold for time during the announced 1-minute rest period to shock your body:
1.) Any Push-up Variation
2.) Any Lunge Variation
3.) Any Split Squat Variation
4.) Any Back Pillar Variation
5.) Any Squat Variation
6.) Any Front Pillar Variation
7.) Any Side Pillar Variation
